We’re excited to announce an important new addition to the Spokane Riverkeeper team! Please join us in welcoming Anne Tenold as our new Development Manager.

Anne Grayhek Tenold grew up fishing with her Dad and Grandfather, waterskiing, and spending time with her family on Priest Lake. Anne refers to herself as hydrophilic, because she is happiest near any water body.

From a young age, she was troubled by pollution and the loss of wild areas, which informed her commitment to conservation. Anne intended to pursue studies in Limnology, but a personal health crisis during high school shifted her focus to pursue Public Health and Health Coaching.

Anne has participated in community conservation efforts throughout her life, sat on several local boards, and is a former board chair of the Land’s Council.  Anne spent more than 25 years in business development, sales, and consulting in healthcare, insurance, and renewable energy.

Anne is a co-owner of Northwest Renewables, an energy contracting company specializing in decarbonization services.  While Anne and Northwest Renewables have supported the Spokane Riverkeeper’s litter program for several years, she jumped at the opportunity to become the organization’s first development manager.

When not working, Anne can be found paddle boarding, hiking along the Spokane River and Bluff Trails, camping, or enjoying Priest Lake with her family.

As Development Manager, Anne will assist Katie Thompson in implementing fundraising strategies, building new partnerships, and ensuring our programs have the resources to thrive. We are thrilled to have this energy and expertise on board to support our mission!
