The Spokane Riverkeeper and Mountain Gear are thrilled to bring the greater Spokane community together for our 5th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival!. Please join us for an array of environmental films, Riverkeeper IPA from River City Brewing, door prizes, and information from other community guests. Come chat, and have beverage with our community partners and the various groups who are sponsoring this year’s event. This event is a benefit for the Spokane Riverkeeper and to support the work they are doing to protect your river.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival works with environmental groups across the globe to host the film festival as a way to outreach into their communities and bring together a diverse audience. The goal is to use film to inspire activism. SYRCL hopes to use the festival to increase a better community understanding of the connection we share with the planet and our role as stewards to keep it healthy for the next generations.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival: South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) is a watershed advocacy group that was started in 1983 by a small group of concerned citizens who banded together to fight against several proposed dams. Wild & Scenic Film Festival is the largest film festival of its kind in the United States.
