Ready to take action for the Spokane River? Join River Watch! Spokane Riverkeeper's new River Watch is a citizen river monitoring effort. The goal of the program are to act as the eyes, ears, and noses in the River basin to quickly spot pollution events and help ensure the proper agencies respond to pollution threats promptly.
Date: April 30th from 4:30-5:30pm
Location: Community Building Mezzanine Conference Room
During this workshop, volunteers will:
Understand the environmental and health impacts of river pollution on aquatic life, ecosystems, and communities.
Learn to identify different types of pollution commonly found in our river, including contaminants, litter, and sewage.
Gain practical skills for effectively spotting pollution during river patrols and outings.
Discover the importance of timely reporting and how to document pollution incidents accurately.
This workshop is suitable for River enthusiasts, concerned citizens, educators, students, and anyone passionate about safeguarding our water resources.
