Join us for a bewitching evening on the water as we paddle under the October full moon, dressed in our finest witchy attire, for a magical night of enchantment and community on the Spokane River! Bring your own boat, either a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard, and float with us from the Mckinstry Launch at Gonzaga. We will float approximately 1 mile upstream and back under the Hunter’s Moon. While we float, our team will share insightful information about the local ecosystem, river history, and our work on the river along the way.

Cost: Free! (Suggested donation of $5 to Spokane Riverkeeper)
Location: Mckinstry Launch at Gonzaga, 820 E Trent Ave.

BYO-Boat/SUP/Kayak/Canoe. If you do not have one of your own, we recommend booking a rental with FLOW Adventures!
This is not a float for beginners or new paddlers. Night paddling requires advanced skills due to limited visibility, which makes it harder to navigate and assess potential hazards in the water. Paddlers need experience in handling their watercraft through unexpected conditions, strong awareness of their surroundings, and the ability to confidently follow safety protocols in low-light environments.
In the event of a thunderstorm, cold temperatures, or otherwise unsafe floating conditions, the event may be cancelled.
Facility information: There are no restrooms available at this launch. Participants should come prepared for no bathroom access for the duration of the event. This put in is a primitive put in, and does require some agility to walk over roots and other obstacles. If you have any mobility issues, you may want to check out the area in advance to ensure you are able to get to the water.
All participants must sign the Spokane Riverkeeper Participant Waiver prior to participating in this event.
