Join our effort to protect the Spokane River! Help us monitor water quality in the Spokane River and Hangman Creek by volunteering for our community science project. Every year, Hangman Creek pollutes the Spokane River with sediment, leading to dirty water contaminating prime trout habitat. Volunteer scientists will measure water clarity throughout the winter and spring of 2024, and the results will be submitted to the Washington State Department of Ecology. Sign up below!
We will train volunteers on the basic water quality monitoring needed for the study. We have two trainings available. Register for one or both trainings here. See the training slides here.
